Be honest please =) [May. 13th, 2007|12:17 am]
Physician Assistants of LJ
I currently have about 2 + 2 + 4 = 8 classes left in college! I am on the quarter system.

I currently have a GPA 3.61.

I'm not too happy about it because uh, it was a lot higher before Ochem put my GPA in a headlock! I am a biology major as well as an honors student (so I had to fulfill my general education curriculum with LOVELY 500-level courses, blah). Does this look like a good academic background for a PA school? I am still working on getting healthcare experience --I'm trying to get a job as a patient care aide at my school's hospital, and I will take a year off after undergrad to work in the medical field any way possible.

Thanks for your input, my fellow aspiring and current PAs!

you have a great gpa for pa school, much higher than mine, and I got away with NOT taking organic! so you should be cool. get your hours in, and apply for a bunch of schools (at least 5... especially since the application process takes a year you should invest in more applications rather than not get in and waste another year applying.)

PS: study hard for the GRE. if you learn one of those books such as Princeton's Guide to the GRE you'll be golden. the GRE doesn't test your knowledge, it tests how well you studied to take the GRE. Getting a great score is insurance to get in.
