Alright, so on my to-do list for things I need to do to get into PA school is that I need to shadow two more PA's. I wanted one to be in internal medicine and one to be in Primary Care.

So my question is:

How does one find PA's who are open to being shadowed (especially ones in internal medicine since there aren't as many around), and how do you broach the topic with them?

I would try contacting a local hospital and see if they have a program for students or would just be willing to let you shadow. I contacted the trauma program at my local hospital and they employ two PA's, both of which were happy to have me shadow them. Good luck! You can also try local PA schools and see if they can direct you.
